SOR / 2011-17 certification is a Canadian toy standard
Canada enacted the Canada Consumer Products Safety Act (CCPSA) on December 15, 2010. Recently, its new Toys Ordinance (SOR / 2011-17) has replaced the original Dangerous Products (Toys Ordinance) Bill (C.R.C., c. 931). Despite the transfer of regulations, safety requirements for toys and other products for children to learn and play have not changed substantially. It should be noted that the scope of phthalates in the Dangerous Products (Toys Ordinance) Act includes all toys and child care products. The phthalate limit under the Toys Regulations refers to toys used by children under 3 years of age.
