I. ISO14001 Environmental Management System Standard

In July 1991, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) set up an "Environmental Strategy Advisory Group" (SAGE) to put environmental management standardization on the agenda. After more than a year of work, SAGE made recommendations to ISO: to quality management Similarly, a set of management standards is set for the environment to strengthen the organization's ability to acquire and measure environmental improvements. According to the recommendations of SAGE, ISO formally established a specialized agency TC207 in June 1993 to set out international standards in the field of environmental management, namely ISO14000 series of environmental management standards.

ISO14001 is the code name for environmental management system certification. The ISO 14000 series of standards is an environmental management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization. It is aimed at the increasingly serious global environmental pollution and ecological damage. The major environmental problems such as ozone layer destruction, global warming, and the loss of biodiversity threaten the future survival and development of mankind, and conform to the development of international environmental protection. Formulated for the needs of economic and trade development.

1. The latest business license of the enterprise;

2. ISO certification materials and application forms;

3. Enterprise environmental impact assessment report;

Third, ISO14001 environmental management system certification process:

1. Accept applications from applicants

Organizations applying for certification must first consider factors such as the authority, credibility, and cost of each certification body, and then select the appropriate certification body and get in touch with it to submit an application for environmental management system certification. After receiving the formal application from the applicant, the certification body will conduct a preliminary review of the applicant's application documents, and if it meets the requirements of the application, sign a management system review / registration contract with it to determine to accept its application.

2. Environmental management system audit

During the entire certification process, the audit of the applicant's environmental management system is the most critical link. After the certification body officially accepts the applicant's application, it quickly forms an audit team and appoints an audit team leader. At least one professional auditor or technical expert with the type of professional project in the audit scope is included in the audit team to assist the audit team in the audit work. .

The review is roughly divided into three steps:

1. Document review The detailed review of the preparation documents submitted by the applicant, which is the basic work for implementing the site audit. The applicant needs to prepare its environmental management system documents. During the review process, if the applicant's EMS manual is found not to meet the requirements, it will take effective corrective measures until it meets the requirements. After the certification body has carefully reviewed these documents, if it is deemed qualified, it is ready to enter the on-site audit stage.

2. On-site audit On the basis of completing the document review and pre-audit of the applicant, the audit team leader shall formulate an audit plan to inform the applicant and solicit the opinions of the applicant. After the applicant receives the audit plan, Disagree on these terms or arrangements, immediately notify the audit team leader or certification body, and resolve these issues before the on-site audit. After solving these problems, the audit team formally conducted an on-site audit. The main purpose was to evaluate the actual implementation of a series of documents such as EMS manuals, program files, and operation instructions by conducting an on-site inspection of the applicant. The effectiveness of the system operation is to determine whether the environmental management system established by the applicant is in compliance with the ISO14001 standard.

During the implementation of the on-site audit, the audit team must conduct internal discussions every day. It is chaired by the audit team leader and all auditors participate to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the structure of the audit and determine which non-conformities found during the on-site audit need to be written. Non-compliance reports and their severity.

3. Follow-up audit The applicant shall correct the found non-conformities according to the agreed time between the audit plan and the certification body, and submit it to the certification body after the corrective actions are completed. After the certification body receives the materials, the original audit team members organize the follow-up audit of the effectiveness of the corrective actions. If the audit results show that the materials submitted by the auditee are detailed and accurate, they can proceed to the registration stage.

Fourth, apply for approval and issue a certificate:

According to the requirements of the registration materials submission list, the audit team leader collates the submission materials and fills in the registration recommendation form. The form is finally submitted to the certification body for review. If the certification body is qualified, the certification body will compile and issue a certificate to include the applicant in the Certificate catalogue. Applicants can advertise through various media, and they can put the registration mark on the product.

V. Supervision, inspection, review and renewal:

During the validity period of the certificate, the certification body shall supervise and inspect the certified enterprises to ensure that the environmental management system meets the requirements of the ISO14001 standard and can be operated effectively and efficiently. After the validity of the certificate expires, or after major changes in the scope, model, and organization name of the enterprise, the certification body accepts applications for renewal of the enterprise to ensure that the company continuously improves and perfects its environmental management system.
